Why Financial Wellness?

The numbers are mind-blowing. 61% of Americans could not cover a $1,000 emergency. Forty percent couldn't cover a $400 emergency. Seventy-eight percent of Americans say they are living paycheck-to-paycheck and 52% of Americans have less than $10,000 saved for retirement.

Why? More than 80% of non-savers say their everyday expenses keep them from saving for retirement. And whether they are saving or not, 57% of all US workers say debt prevents them from saving for retirement.

The bottom line is that Americans are hurting, but there is hope.

Consider that the average American household brings home around $51,000 a year, that means the average household will earn over $2 million in their lifetime. So, it's not necessarily that we don't have money, it's that we often don't know what to do with our money.

That's why financial wellness is part of SPS Thrive. When people get control of their money, their stress goes down, health (physical & mental) improves and life is more fun. Whether it's a program you can enroll in or helpful articles and lessons you want to take advantage of, you'll find tools and resources here that can help you take control, get out of debt and feel confident about your financial standing again!
